Al-Khair Peace Convention 2010

ANNOUNCEMENT

In view of the Exclusion Order, which has been served upon Dr Zakir Naik on 17th June 2010 by the Home Secretary, the Al-Khair Peace Convention 2010 events of 25th June and 26th June 2010 at Sheffield Arena and Wembley Arena are on hold and may be postponed pending outcome of endeavours to lift the Exclusion Order.

All developments impacting upon the staging of these events will be posted here.

COURSE OF ACTION

We are all very disappointed with the ‘Exclusion order’ against Dr Zakir Naik preventing him to travel to UK for the Al-Khair Peace Conventions at Sheffield and Wembley Arena on 25th and 26th June 2010.

Since this order has been issued we have been approached by many seeking our advice on what should be done to reverse the decision.

Many suggested that they independently of Al-khair would like to organise protests and demonstrations in different cities of UK.

In our opinion the best course of action would be to write to Home Secretary with your comments, thoughts, concerns, issues, suggestions, ideas and way forward as well as contacting your local MP. Our strong advice to all is to remain calm at all times, deal with this matter in a sensible and appropriate manner.

Please bear in mind any action of yours even if it is done on an individual capacity would reflect and compromise Al-Khair’s position.

We believe, the decision by the Home Secretary to prevent Dr Zakir Naik visiting the UK is misguided. We also believe that the best way to remove any misunderstanding and move forward is by entering into dialogue with the authorities.

We would like to thank all those who have taken our advise and kept things calm and under control.

May Allah the Almighty Bless You.
